"Tailing Ponds"
Signed and dated on verso
20" x 24"
Artist note from Kate:
"Tailing Ponds" presents a grid of contained forms that evoke the aerial geometry of industrial waste ponds scattered across the earth's surface. There is an intentional exclusion of raw earth to underscore separation between the natural and the manufactured. Through its structured repetition and vivid tone, "Tailing Ponds" transforms a symbol of environmental impact into a meditation on containment, consequence, and the quiet abstraction of human intervention in the landscape.
This artwork which is featured in our Artist Spotlight is offered in our November Auction at 0% commission, which means 100% of the hammer price going directly to the artist.
